COMMUNITY EXPRESSIONS

FAITH, HOPE and LOVE.
Written by

Poignant poem about living with the ever-present beast of facial neuralgia.

There is a Beast Amongst me
It lingers all day long.
No matter what I do or take,
This Beast is never gone.

No one sees this Ghastly Beast.
No, not even I.
But, I know it is in there,
"Please God, Don't let me Die."

I have traveled many roads
Hoping to find a cure.
Doctors, Dentists have no clue,
Of what I have endured.

No plans dare I make
As it may upset this Beast.
I now take tiny Baby Steps,
To say the very least.

I must not look back
On that fatal dental day.
For I know I must move forward
And hear what others have to say.

For those out there, like me,
I pray each and every night,
Asking God to lend His Hand,
And listen to our plight.

There are many of us suffering,
This I truly know.
But, Miracles can happen
With the "Hope and Love" we show.
